B R A V E S T A T I O N

Toronto band, Bravestation just sent me a copy of their upcoming sophomore EP. I'm quite ashamed to say I hadn't heard of these guys before, but I can't see them as being unheard of for much longer. They're a band that draw comparisons to acts like Local Natives, but also wouldn't seem out of place amongst the UK indie scene, standing up against bands such as The Maccabees or let's say, Foals. Quite a promising act to keep an eye on, you can listen to their EP which is currently streaming on their myspace or buy it here.

Fenech Soler's latest remix is for the stunningly gorgeous, Jade Williams aka Sunday Girl. The rising 21yr old recently put out her debut EP, 'Four Floors' and is now in the midst of recording her debut album with Diplo and Jim Elliot at the helm. Her name actually came from an old job in a pet store where she would work every Sunday and was known as Sunday Girl. MARRY ME

It broke my heart when Crocodiles had to cancel their Australian tour in March, but the San Diego duo have been working hard on their (James Ford produced) new album, 'Sleep Forever'. The title track is the first single to be released and features the hypnotic B-side, "Groove Is In The Heart / California Girls". It's out August 17 and the album drops on September 14 via Fat Possum.

Trophy Wife are an unsigned band from Oxford with only three tracks on their myspace. I can't really see these guys as being unsigned for much longer, especially when you have people like Yannis of Foals singing your praises. Definitely keep an eye on these guys, give it a few months, a record label and they will be everywhere.

THE CORAL

It's been three long years since we last heard from The Coral, but they're back with their new album, 'Butterfly House', which is due early next month (July 12). The UK band have placed a free mp3 of title track, 'Butterfly House' for download on their website (or you can just grab it below). Their new single, '1000 years' is available for download on iTunes and will get its full release on July 5th.
